Dear Poll: Would you Rather Elope or Go All Out?

Just this weekend, another celebrity couple pulled the wool over our eyes by secretly tying the knot. While it seems like the ultimate goal is to have a private, intimate ceremony, these stars have to struggle and plan mercifully to achieve that goal. On the flip side, us non-celebrities seem to crave that wedding day attention and plan for months on end to make sure everything is perfect. Every bride is different, so what I want to know is, would you rather elope and keep your wedding day between just you and your hubby or would you rather go all out and make it the bash of the century, a wedding that no one will ever forget?

Elope: I don't need the hoopla of a big elaborate event -- I would rather use that money to start a life with my hubby.

Go all out: I only plan on getting married once so why not blow it out and celebrate with everyone I know and love?

The day of the wedding, everyone wants to look her best - camera ready and runway beautiful. These days, it's not only the bride that gets her hair and make up done; everyone in the bridal party seems to get primped and prodded as well. While the bride chooses the hairdresser and make up artist, who should pay for those services? If the bride wants her maids to have their hair or make up done a specific way on her day, do you think she should be responsible for picking up the tab?

Yes: I would be happy doing my own hair and make up, so if the bride wants me to look a certain way, she should pay

To make their wedding night special, some couples choose to abstain from sex in the weeks, sometimes even months leading up to their wedding. I was told by a wedding planner once that the day of your wedding, it's perfectly normal, and you should even expect to have at least three minor hiccups. Since the bride is usually already on edge after yielding off any wedding planning disasters, ladies do tell, did you have any wedding day disasters? Source
