
First dates are typically meant for getting to know one another, but when our nerves get the best of us, it's easy to walk away from the night without really learning much about him at all. To prevent that from happening, I've come up with 10 first date questions that are sure to enlighten you on some of the important character traits you'll need to know later down the road — sometimes knowing how he takes his coffee is as important as whether or not he wants kids! On the flip side though, there are some foods that can actually bring an element of flirtation to a meal. I've always been a fan of sharing, so here is my list of six foods that can heat up a meal on a first date.

Some people are born daters — they feel totally comfortable in the awkward getting-to-know-you phase and they love the thrill of the unknown. I'm the complete opposite: Dating makes me incredibly uncomfortable, which is why I'd much prefer to go out than stay in. When you're at a restaurant or a bar, you have so many things to stimulate conversation or diffuse a bad date if necessary.
