Do Tell: Would You Elope?

It's no secret that Heidi and Spencer eloped in Mexico, but after watching how it all came to fruition last night on The Hills, I couldn't help but feel badly for Heidi — was it just me or did she look incredibly sad the morning after her big day? Her family was clearly part of the reason why Spencer whisked her away, but it seemed as though she was disappointed that her family wasn't there to support her, let alone offer their blessing. While marriage is a personal commitment between husband and wife, do tell, would you ever elope on a whim like Heidi and Spencer did?

Would You Get Married Like This?

Yesterday Jessica Alba's rep confirmed that she and Cash Warren tired the knot in a Beverly Hills court house Monday morning. According to a source close to the couple, no one else attended their civil ceremony and after reading that, I couldn't help but think that was a little sad. Though I know getting married quietly and privately was their choice, I've always viewed marriage as a joyous occasion that's meant to be shared with loved ones, no matter how large or small of an event. I guess I'm still stuck on the fairy tale wedding that every little girl dreams about, but what about you? Would you want to get married alone in a similar way as Jess and Cash?

Dear Poll: Would you Rather Elope or Go All Out?

Just this weekend, another celebrity couple pulled the wool over our eyes by secretly tying the knot. While it seems like the ultimate goal is to have a private, intimate ceremony, these stars have to struggle and plan mercifully to achieve that goal. On the flip side, us non-celebrities seem to crave that wedding day attention and plan for months on end to make sure everything is perfect. Every bride is different, so what I want to know is, would you rather elope and keep your wedding day between just you and your hubby or would you rather go all out and make it the bash of the century, a wedding that no one will ever forget?

Elope: I don't need the hoopla of a big elaborate event -- I would rather use that money to start a life with my hubby.

Go all out: I only plan on getting married once so why not blow it out and celebrate with everyone I know and love?
