The other day my friend told me that during her fitness class, she suddenly and without cause just burst into tears, forcing her to leave early, and obviously making her feel very embarrassed. When I asked her what had happened, she said she didn’t know. She wasn’t dealing with PMS, but it was as if at that moment she just couldn't hold in the tears. I know I’ve had spontaneous crying fits. What about you?Source

Generally speaking, women are more emotional than men, but there is a time and a place to let your feelings show. Since life doesn't stop just because we are at work, sometimes a bad day at the office can be more about personal strife than bad numbers. On the other hand, getting emotional over poor performance isn't all that uncommon yet we all know shedding a tear in front of co-workers, superiors, and subordinates might not be the best idea. No one wants to look weak or be seen as overly emotional in the work place, but sometimes you just can't help it! I've let my emotions get the best of me before, but tell me where you stand on crying at work? Does the idea of letting your emotions show deserve the bad wrap it has?

After the Sex and the City screening last week, several Sugar girls admitted that the movie made them cry. The consensus seemed to be that even those of us who never cried much when we were younger now get choked up very easily by TV shows, weddings, songs — you name it.I think that many women cry more often as we get older. Maybe it's hormonal, but it seems to happen to women in their late 20s and on. There are some things that can make a person more upset than they should be and a bad haircut is definitely one of them. Of course logically, we know that hair will grow, but at the time, when you’re staring at your new 'do while huge chunks of your hair surrounds you on the floor, there’s an accompanying feeling of panic and dread. Do You Ever Wake Up Laughing or Crying?

Dreams can be so bizarre and seem so real. There have been times when I've dreamt about something horrible happening in my life, like being lost or someone passing away. In my dream I'm crying, but then I start crying for real, and my sobbing actually wakes me up. It's such a strange feeling to wake up so sad and scared, but such a relief to realize that it wasn't real.

I've also had dreams where something funny happens, and I wake up laughing hysterically. It's almost as good as having an orgasm in your sleep.

So what about you? Have you ever woken yourself up laughing or crying?

What Do You Think About Guys Who Cry?

I am such a sucker for romantic comedies. I get all into the lovey-dovey storylines and always end up sobbing at one part or another.

I happen to think they're great movies to see with a new guy since they let you get a sense of how sensitive and carefree he is. You can see if you both laugh at the same parts, or if he has no sense of humor whatsoever.

But, what if you happened to glance over at a particularly touching scene, and saw your guy shed a tear? How would you feel? And what do you think about guys who cry openly? Do you love that they're not afraid to express their feelings, or do you think it's a sign of weakness?
