Last year I went to visit one of my best friends in Chicago. Before I had arrived, she mentioned that she cut her hair really short. A few years ago when I did the same thing, she would tease me about it, so the night I arrived, in joking, I said something about her new "boy" do.

It's been the week of the haircut, what with Victoria Beckham's gamine crop and Agyness Deyn's new sleek bob. Now Kate Moss has gone for the chop with this super-messy mid-length cut. Kate was showing off her hair at Punk last night, as she stepped out with boyfriend Jamie Hince.
Kate's trademark blonde locks look like they've been lopped off with blunt cut scissors, giving this style an insouciant edge. 
Just when we thought that New York Fashion Week couldn't show us any more hair surprises, Agyness Deyn stole the limelight from Victoria Beckham by unveiling her brand new bob yesterday at the shows. It's typical of on-trend Agyness to have updated her look, just when it seemed everyone was copying her crop.
This new, short, yet sharp cut looks striking with Agyness' bleach blonde colour and has a retro feel that brings to mind the flapper girls of the 20's. 
If you've ever gone through a bad breakup, and I'm sure most of you have, then you know change is sometimes the best cure. Since packing your bags and running away from your problems isn't always possible or practical, a quick fix will usually do the trick. And a change that isn't too brash but will make a difference is, of course, getting a haircut!

The clothing fads and neon color craze of the '80s may be making a comeback, but let's keep our fingers crossed that the hairstyles of the day remain a distant crimp in history. As the pics reveal, the hair may have been teased, but these fools weren't teasing — they took their locks seriously. It's just too bad the fumes from those big ol' bottles of Aqua-Net effed up their sense of 'do and don't.

The gorgeous Katie Holmes was spotted leaving Pizzeria Mozza in L.A last night sporting a new cropped hair cut. It is obviously a very new style as she was seen leaving Cut restaurant with Tom just days before. A lot of celebs have gone for the crop including Agyness Deyn who originally cut her hair for a Burberry photoshoot and Pixie Geldof. 
He may be smiling for the camera, but he's crying inside. Where are the authorities when you need them?
