Messy, textured updos are
all the rage these days, and Molly Sims was in on it at the recent
CNN Heroes ceremony. Lorenzo Caldaron, a stylist with Warren-Tricomi Los Angeles, created this beautiful, easy look. The good news for you: he says that this look's quite easy, especially for a reader who's not trained in hair.

On Saturday night at the Indigo Concert in London, Estelle performed with a brand-new hairstyle. Unlike her past few
hairdo's she's now sporting longer locks with face-framing layers and heavy fringe. What are your thoughts on Estelle's extended hair?

Since most of you
weren't fans of Alicia Keys's red carpet accessories, what did you think about her performance hair later that night? Personally, I've gotta give the gal credit for always switching it up and testing out new styles. The trio featuring this songstress (alongside Queen Latifah and Kathleen Battle) was one of my
favorite medleys of the night, and Alicia's slick braid stood out, too.

Last night's looks from the
American Music Awards were very much your standard red carpet fare — wavy curls from the likes of
Taylor Swift and
Christina Aguilera or loose updos à la
Miley Cyrus. Pretty? Yes.

Who else would have a bird feather in her hair but
PetSugar? She was so inspired by
Nicole Richie's earthy double braids that she set out with some bobby pins and rubber bands to create her own.
Worried that she didn't have enough hair to properly recreate the original look, she tweaked it and made it work.

In the summer there is always the siren call of going blonde. Perhaps it's all that sunshine, but
most of us always want to go lighter during the summer months. Plus messy, beach head hair doesn't look quite the same on a brunette or redhead.

The days of flat, ironed-straight hair are well and truly over. Now, it's all about big, bouncy styles and expensive-looking volume. Great, if you've just walked out of a salon, not so easy at home.

At a time of soaring energy bills, sky high mortgage re-payments and general economising, it’s time to invest in products that give genuine value for money. The revolutionary new Eco Dry from
BaByliss (£19) is not only kind to the environment, it’s also good for your pocket too!
The
Eco Dry uses half the energy of a standard 2000W hairdryer, whilst drying your hair just as fast — saving electricity and therefore saving you money on your electricity bill.

Plaits have certainly been weaving their way down the catwalk this season. From the
pirate plaits at Jean Paul Gaultier, to a more pulled-out messy style as seen at
Prada this summer and at Giles' Autumn Winter show. The trend shows no signs of unraveling — sorry, I couldn't resist!
