When you've known someone a long time, it's inevitable that you'll experience bumps along the road, but with some friends, those growing pains are more frequent. With age comes maturity and a greater sense of awareness, and sometimes the things that didn't affect us before become serious issues in our present relationships. Friendships can either grow stronger or farther apart over time, so if you've ever struggled with an old friendship, do tell, what changed over the years and what obstacles did you both have to overcome to make your friendship work?

The ladies from Sex and the City were on Oprah yesterday and while their visit was mainly all about the movie, they touched upon some other hot topics as well, age being one of them. All the women, including Oprah herself, were in agreement when saying their 20s were overrated, in fact Kristen Davis went so far to say that she was "kind of unhappy" in her 20s and she didn't know who she was. As someone that's about to be 30 myself, (gasp!!) I'm intrigued to see what all the hype's about. I get that your 20s is a confusing time, a time of self-discovery and trial and error, but I've got to be honest, my 20s weren't all that bad! Of course, I had my fair share of ups and downs, but all in all, I can't complain. So to all you 30-plus women out there, what was the most trivial time in your 20s? Are you with the SATC's girls — were your 20s not all that great in comparison to where you are now?

The unknown can be incredibly intimidating and that trial-and-error period can leave you with many highs but many lows as well. Growing Pains: Myth or Reality

If we truly learn from our mistakes, growing can be a little painful depending on the size of the mistake. Growing pains of childhood are a different matter. It is commonly believed that growing pains are caused by stretching leg muscles, due to rapid growth of bones. How many times did you hear your parents explain the pain in your leg as "growing pain"? I will admit I use it all the time.

So tell me, do you think growing pains are a myth or reality?

The Results Are In: Recast "Growing Pains"

"Growing Pains" started airing on Nick at Nite this weekend, so for last week's Recast challenge, I asked you guys to pick new actors for the roles Dr. and Mrs. Seaver, Mike and Carol, and, of course, Mike's sidekick, Boner. Many of you took it upon yourselves to cast the roles of siblings Ben and Chrissy Seaver, too, and I really admire that extra bit of effort!

Ever wonder what a movie or TV show would be like if you could be the casting director? Well, every Wednesday on BuzzSugar, I'll be posting a Recast challenge, where I'll ask you to recast a classic TV show or movie for these modern times.

This week's challenge: "Growing Pains," the 1980s sitcom that will soon begin airing on Nick at Nite. Who could replicate the snarky charm of Dr. and Mrs. Seaver? What actors could play smart-aleck Mike, his sister Carol, and, of course, his friend Boner? "Growing Pains" Comes to Nick at Nite

For a brief period in the '80s, "Growing Pains" was one of the coolest shows on TV. It had so many things going for it. There was the cynical but loving dad (Alan Thicke) who somehow managed to maintain patient confidentiality while running a psychiatric practice out of his home; a curly-haired smart-aleck hottie (Kirk Cameron); his sassy and exasperated sister (Tracey Gold); guest appearances by a young Leonardo DiCaprio; and, of course, a friend named Boner.

I remember the show fondly, and I've always wondered if it would hold up today. Well, I'll soon find out, because on Jan. 21, "Growing Pains" is coming to Nick at Nite. The channel will start by airing a "Growing Pains" marathon on from 9 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. on the 21st. After that, the show will air at 9 and 9:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, at 10:30 on Saturdays, and at 9:30 on Sundays.

Now I'm starting to recall all sorts of awesome stuff about the show, including the opening-title sequence that featured the actors' actual baby photos. What do you guys remember about "Growing Pains"?
