Jay-Z walked arm in arm with his work and play partner Beyonce Knowles as they left Cipriani's and headed to Diddy's L'Uomo Vogue cover party at 1OAK in NYC last night. Name-changing Diddy may have given Beyonce some inspiration for her upcoming double album, half of which she recorded under her pseudonym, Sasha Fierce. She said, "I have someone else that takes over when it's time for me to work and when I'm on stage, this alter ego that I've created that kind of protects me and who I really am."

Last night US Weekly celebrated their annual Hot Hollywood issue in New York with real life couple Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens. The adorable duo has been busy promoting HSM3 around the world prior to its big opening this weekend but Zac's already got other projects being highlighted. It was a fashionable Sunday night for the stars who got dressed up for Hollywood Life's 5th Annual Hollywood Style Awards at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood. Members of the Mad Men cast decided to skip out on watching their new episode and came out to the show and afterparty looking beautiful out of costume. AnnaLynne McCord accepted the People's Choice award for 90210 for Most Stylish TV Cast and brought her lookalike sister along as her date.

Rapper Eve showed up at the VH1 Hip Honors with a brand-new look. The style chameleon wore a sweet pink lip with an asymmetrical orange-hued hairstyle, which I think looks surprisingly chic together. Every time I see Eve, I can't get over her perfect, flawless complexion — maybe she should consider a skincare line in addition to her clothing line, Fetish.

Natalie Portman unveiled her short film directorial debut Eve at the Venice Film Festival yesterday. The 17 minute short marks the first of two projects she has directed, including part of the collaborative movie New York, I Love You. When I met her back in February I was struck by her intelligence, and she looked stunning over the weekend when she picked up a humanitarian award, as well as working both casual and formal styles in Venice yesterday. 
Get your mind out of the gutter! I'm talking about Whip It!, the film adaptation of Shauna Cross's novel Derby Girl, which just added Alia Shawkat (a.k.a. Maeby Fünke) to the cast.
