Before you hit the town tonight, you might want to be prepared. Last weekend I ask you to tell me how you
recover from a wild night out and your suggestions were awesome — looks like you've all done this before! In an effort to be more positioned this time around, I've compiled my 10 favorite suggestions for how to avoid a nasty hangover.

After being unemployed for several months, my boyfriend finally landed the job he'd been pining for. To welcome him to the firm, his co-workers planned a happy hour at a pub nearby. My boyfriend invited me to join so I agreed to meet them after I left work.

We all know that boys will be boys, but when they are in a relationship, time with the guys becomes all the more important. Just as women need alone time with their friends, men desire the same interaction. But I've noticed a common theme when my girlfriends tell me about their significant others' nights out: they're constantly up to no good, drinking too much, staying out too late, and spending too much money.

I love attending work parties. It's always fun to blow off steam with co-workers and see what they're like when they let their hair down. But I always watch myself as drinking too much in the presence of superiors could lead to quite an uncomfortable situation!

I recently got a question from one reader that I thought you guys would have some great suggestions for. Here's her question:
"My doc told me I have to cut calories out of my diet to lose weight. He said the best way would be to stop drinking soda, but I love soda.

Over the weekend I came across an article that I just had to share with all of you. A study performed at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine
found that binge drinkers (five or more alcoholic beverages at one time) are more likely to engage in risky sexual behavior, making them (particularly women) more likely to contract an STI. We all know that binge drinking lowers inhibitions, but the findings of this new study are very sobering:
Across gender, women binge drinkers are more likely to have anal sex than men binge drinkers.

Although I do enjoy a drink out with my girlfriends, I definitely know that there’s a difference between drinking socially and drinking to be social. However, many people
suffer from anxiety when presented with certain social situations, and the natural effects of alcohol often curb those worries. Though it can lead to more problems than it's worth, it's not surprising to find that some people feel they have to drink to be comfortable among others.

Dear Sugar,
I am currently dating a guy who lives a couple of states away from me. I've known him about nine months, and I really like him. He is sweet and very mature, but for the past two months he's been calling me completely drunk, and acting very hurtful on the phone.

You're asking, and I'm answering.
Dear Fit,
I've noticed that on a day after a night of heavy drinking, whether I'm hungover or not, I tend to be ravenously hungry. I know that people joke about
"hangover foods," but for me, it's not just craving greasy treats.

Out with a large group of friends, including the newest guy you’ve been seeing, you end up drinking too much too fast. Before you know it, the night’s passed you by in a blur. You’ve definitely had one or two too many and your date has to practically carry you home.
