In Which PetSugar Returns Home to a Cat on Her Doorstep . . .

Here's my backstory: I live on the top floor of a small building with six apartments total. I came home ready to tune into Gossip Girl last night and discovered this cute cat wandering around. Now, my first instinct was that the pet belonged in apartment three, but when I knocked on the door, there was no answer. Eeks! Worried that my new, tagless kitty BFF would find its way out onto the street never to be found again, I kept periodically checking my hallway over the next several hours and the kitty was there on my doormat until my last check before bedtime at around 1 a.m. I was totally torn the entire time: While the idealistic animal lover in me wanted to bring the cat inside (imagining North and Kitty curled up in no time), realistic PetSugar figured that inviting a strange, seemingly friendly creature into my home could likely traumatize both North and the feline. To cover all my bases, I slipped a note under the door telling them that I saw what was possibly their cat roaming the hallway but still felt horribly guilty about this lost pet seemingly determined to join my furry family. If you were in my shoes, what would you have done?

From not letting Fido hog the blankets and your side of the bed to not catering to Fluffy's constant desire for your food and not cat food, I want to hear all about your New Year's resolutions involving furry friends.

Personally, I plan to improve North's behavior towards strangers, maybe working his exuberance down to mild excitement! I know this change, as with any resolution, starts with me. What's up first on your to-do (better) list come Jan. 1?

I overheard some guys talking at a restaurant the other night. One of them was dishing about a girl he "hooked up" with, and he went on to talk about this elaborate sexual experience he had. I was in shock for two reasons: one, that he was speaking in such detail about his sexcapade in a public place, and two, that by "hooking up," he meant sex. I guess where I'm from, that term means you kissed a guy or fooled around a little, but I've never equated it with sex. The notion of hooking up has been in the news a lot lately, so tell me, what does "hooking up" mean to you?

Do Tell: Do Your Pets Gravitate to the Tree?

Holiday decorations can be pretty exciting for indoor animals. Christmas tree lights and delicate decorations do look a lot like shiny pet toys, don't they?

A friend of mine sent me this picture of her two sweet kitties snuggling under the tree and I couldn't help but chuckle when I realized my pup, North, would never sit still under flickering lights for a photoshoot. Do your pets flock to your tree or do they ignore it?

The power of scent is indescribably strong. A simple whiff can bring back memories of a special moment or person in your life. Smells can also affect your dreams while you sleep, and the unique way a person smells may play a part in who you choose for a mate. It may also interest you to know that a woman's sense of smell is actually stronger than a man's, especially during the time she ovulates.

Certain scents may also have a way of getting you excited. Maybe it's the sweet aroma of clean skin (or sweaty skin for that matter!) or his freshly washed hair that gets you going. Whatever it is, do tell, what scents put you in the mood for love?

Do Tell: Who's the Initiator in Your Relationship?

In sexual relationships, everyone's unique personalities come out when the lights go dim. Some are more adventurous and love to try new positions, outfits, and toys, while others may be more shy and traditional when it comes to sex. Sex drive can also vary. Some could make love six times a day and never get tired of it, while others are satisfied with a romp once a month. Then there are differences in who initiates it. Stereotypically, guys tend to be the ones to get things started, but that's not always the case so ladies, do tell, in your relationship, who's the initiator?

Do Tell: How Do You Dress on a Date?

Figuring out what to wear to work every day can be difficult and sometimes annoying, but trying to plan an outfit for a date is 10 times worse! Factoring in what guys think is sexy versus what girls think is sexy adds more complexity to wardrobe planning, especially since 52 percent of us dress for other women. I usually keep it simple when going on a date, but ladies, do tell, what's your typical date outfit look like?
