Where Do You Stand? Do His Manners Matter?

Though I do appreciate a chivalrous man, it's not cause to write someone off completely if he's not. But good manners, on the other hand, I’m a stickler about. No open mouth chewing or asking for something without a please and thank you, for me! OK, I might let some things slide a year into a relationship, but not while we're just dating. Is it the same for you? Where do you stand when it comes to a man’s manners? Could particularly terrible manners ever be a dealbreaker?

Now, I know we don’t love to admit that we have dealbreakers, but some things just don’t work for everyone, especially those things that seriously impact a relationship like sex. Sex is a fundamental part of any relationship, and can both bring people together or pull them apart, which is why sexual compatibility is so important. But what happens if the person you care about doesn’t do it for you? I’m sure it depends on individual needs, but is bad sex a dealbreaker for you? Source

My friend has a running list that contains the names of men that under no circumstances will she ever date. (Yes, I'm completely serious!) When I heard that certain names, including Harold, Frank, and Bart, were her dealbreakers, I couldn’t help but laugh. I mean, what can a poor guy do about his awkward or geeky name? The Trouble With Short Men

Tired of jealous boyfriends? Well, according to an article in the health section of BBC News, the answer is easy: Start dating taller men. Recent research reports that taller men are less jealous than their shorter counterparts. The article explains:

. . . taller men may be less jealous because male height is associated with attractiveness, dominance and reproductive success.

The article also notes that height is one of the first characteristics others notice, often leaving shorter men to be, well, overlooked. It's truly no wonder shorter men are more jealous; like beautiful women, taller men just seem to have it easier. This is none too surprising to me; I happen to have entire group of friends who consider a lack of inches in a man's height to be the ultimate dealbreaker. Jealousy aside, do you judge a man based on his height?
