Mila Kunis was back to showing off
stripes and Starbucks as she sipped on her iced coffee in LA on Thursday. This weekend her
Max Payne will be put to the box office test, up against the heavy-hitting
High School Musical 3. Even if her movie gets knocked out of the top spot, hopefully Mila will still find something to smile about.

Mila Kunis stepped out in LA yesterday wearing
stylish stripes and carrying coffee for three. She just finished filming
Extract and is
already assuring us that it's really funny, but this weekend is all about
Max Payne. Buzz gave the film a
decent review, but we'll have to wait and see if
underrated Mila and Mark can kick the reigning champion
Beverly Hills Chihuahua's butt at the box office.

In its own haunting way,
Max Payne is beautiful to watch. I knew that director John Moore had utilized some
new digital technology while filming, but I didn't quite expect the movie as a whole to be so visually mesmerizing. This world never strays from its grainy state, everything awash in a blue-gray sheen — except for striking spots of bright red, and sometimes twinkly orange sparks — and there is near-constant precipitation usually large snowflakes swirling through icy air.

Max Payne may be an action packed video game come to life, but it was all glamor at last night's LA premiere. Mark Wahlberg may not have loved his
SNL skewering, but he looked to be in great spirits with Rhea out on the red carpet for the first time since recently giving birth. The two have been together for years but according to Mark they're looking to
finally tie the knot next August.

All of the new DVD releases hit stores (and
Netflix) on Tuesdays. So each week in
What to Netflix: New DVD Tuesday, I sort through the best of the batch and tell you what to add to your queue. In addition to the titles below, the Oscar-winning documentary
Taxi to the Dark Side is also now available on DVD.

Mila Kunis is the latest celebrity to show off her political affiliation on her t-shirt with the ever-popular "
Barack the Vote" message. The adorable actress was hard at work back on the set of
Extract in LA in her lounge wear between takes. Between her TV work and
Forgetting Sarah Marshall this movie will be another place for her to show off her comedic chops after kicking ass in
Max Payne.

Video game-turned-movie Max Payne (out November 14 in the UK) looks pretty angsty, dark and spooky.
Mark Wahlberg plays DEA (drugs enforcement administration) agent Max, who is looking to avenge the deaths of his family members.
Forgetting Sarah Marshall's Mila Kunis costars as an assassin who is also looking to avenge her sister's death.

Mila Kunis makes a casual flannel shirt look super sexy. She was spotted on the set of
Extract, which is currently filming in LA with hairy Ben Affleck and Jason Bateman. Mila flies under the radar these days but besides currently working on this movie she's the voice of Meg Griffin on
Family Guy, which
premieres this Sunday, her movie
Forgetting Sarah Marshall is available on DVD at the end of the month, and in mid-October she'll be on the big screen in
Max Payne.

Ben Affleck was back on the set of
Extract in LA over the weekend and judging from Violet's pensive look, we may not be the only ones who aren't loving that wig. He was also joined by costar Mila Kunis, showing off her hot stems in tiny shorts. Jason Bateman helped round out the cast and also got a special visit on set from his wife and daughter.
