Recent research has found that simply being happy can lengthen your life 7.5 to 10 years. So take time each day to
relax and reflect on the positives.

The world is happier — thanks to economic growth, democracy, and social tolerance, according to the World Values Study. The findings contradicted the assumption that regardless of changing variables, happiness remains constant.
The
researchers credit relative quality of life improvements for the global rise in happiness; for example, low-income societies like China experienced economic growth while developed societies saw a rise in equality and tolerance.

I really love
giving gifts. There’s something so gratifying when you find the perfect present and watch someone’s face bloom into a smile as she or he receives it. Still, I think the best gifts are those that can’t be wrapped and tied with a bow.

recent study claims that about 49 percent of Americans are thriving, 47 percent are struggling to stay happy and healthy, while about four percent are suffering. Maybe it's the optimist in me but I would have thought that more people would be thriving. Me, I like to think I'm thriving, though I definitely have my days of struggle.
