Four-Handed Massage = Body Bliss

What's better than getting a massage from a professional masseuse? Not much, but how about two people massaging you at the same time? I honestly don't think it gets any better than that.

It's the ultimate treat for your mind, body, and spirit. Massage therapy enhances the function of your joints and muscles, improves circulation, relieves physical and mental fatigue and stress, and increases flexibility.

With a Four-Handed massage, two pairs of hands will glide over you with rhythmic well-choreographed motions. One therapist leads the movements while the other therapist mirrors those moves on the opposite side. It sure does sound like the perfect way to de-stress after a long week!

As someone that once did massages for a living, we don't like to be called a 'masseuse', we actually prefer massage therapist. Masseuse has negative connotations. A four handed massage does sound great though. Smiling

I thought they were considered "licensed massage therapists" now, too.

I personally wouldn't enjoy a four-handed massage. I have enough trouble with one stranger working on my body. Two, I'd imagine the whole time that they're pointing at my ass behind my back and making the "ginormous" signal with their hands.

Greggie, not all are licensed, it's required in most states but not all. Mostly just massage therapists. I've done a massage with another person and it was a lot of fun, never had one though. And I really doubt anyone would say anything about your butt, especially since you're pregnant. You'd be surprised by most of the stuff I've seen and never said a word to anyone, we treat it like doctor/patient confidentiality.

I know they wouldn't, I'm just paranoid about my body. *lol*

I get a pregnancy one this weekend, and I cannot wait. Not a double massage, though, just one therapist.

I agree with BlairBear, I am a recently certified Massage Therapist. Therapists heal and help people, masseurs give 'happy endings'. It's really hurtful for someone who's gone through the time, effort, and training to be called something that has nothing to do with real massage.

Of course, I'm never opposed to having massage in the bedroom with my boyfriend either. But I never want to even hint at associating that with my practice.

I've been fortunate enough to experience this type of work and it is incredible!!! When the practitioners are able to work together in cadence and pressure you tend to forget there are two people working on you. It really is blissful.

I'm also a Licensed Massage Therapist. I have to admit being called a masseuse makes me cringe.

For those of you looking for a practitioner. If your state requires MT's to be licensed you can usually visit the state gov't website and find practitioners in your area that meet the state requirements.

If you live in a state that does not have licensing and are looking for a practitioner try contacting a local massage school for referrals in your area or ask your friends for referrals to MT's they have seen and like their work.

Each practitioner has a unique style and it isn't a case of one size fits all so I would recommend that you try several MT's to find the one that suits you best.

I gave this to my guy for his 25th bday... The masseuse taught some techniques and we both massaged him..... then it was my turn! Total Bliss! and let me tell you we got alone time a couple of time... and that was BLISS, if u get my drift..... but basically the break down is 35 mins one person is on the table and the other person is massaging... then 10 mins alone to "practice" technique.... then switch positions and its 35: 10 again.... its nice b/c she taught you step by step like 5 or so massage techniques and you do it solo.... or she'll do it with you so its like 4 hands at once......
