Unless you end up marrying your high-school sweetheart, it’s nearly impossible to avoid a breakup over the course of your dating experiences. And while there are some relationships that end mutually and amicably, for the most part, breaking up hurts.
I’m always surprised at the different ways people deal with the pain of a breakup. Some people like to just give into the sadness all at once, while others play it tough and pretend like nothing has changed. Then there are those that use anger as their coping mechanism. Of course, all of these methods have their positives and their negatives, but ladies do tell, how do you deal with a breakup?

For me, the best thing to do is to keep eating, keep exercising, and keep sleeping.
I'm not trying to pretend that nothing has changed, it's just that I feel so much worse about everything in general when I'm tired, hungry, and not working out. Plus, it makes me feel like life does go on and I can keep to my routine despite sadness.
That said, I do plenty of grieving. I listen to sad songs, cry over old letters, reach out to friends and family etc.
I rarely get angry. I don't know why. The sadness of the loss just overwhelms me, even when I have every right to be angry.
