Dear Poll: Do You Feel Better With Age?

Whenever I see talk shows or read interviews with celebrities, I constantly hear them say that they feel better with age. Oprah has said on numerous occasions that she really came into herself at age 50, and the younger generation strongly suggests that 30 is when you have the confidence to be the real you. Sure, the older I get the more secure I feel, but who likes getting old?

Demi Moore proves that age shouldn't get you down, as do Madonna, Michelle Pfeiffer, and we can't leave out George Clooney! So ladies, what I want to know is, do you feel like you get better with age?

I guess you'd get to know yourself better and be the real you but I still don't want to feel old or like my life is passing by too quickly.

I feel better with age. Definitely.

I kind of don't even think about whether I like getting older or not, you know? It's not like we have a choice.

And I'd hate to be one of those older women who look like they're fighting tooth and nail to look and act 20 years old. That's just too sad.

I'm a lot happier and more self-confident in my late 20s than I was in my early 20s. I even think I look better as well, so it's all good Smiling

I have so much more confidence with myself not that I'm 30. I'm not as afraid to ask for what I want in all places (work, home, bed, money, etc...) I hope things keep getting better because my 20s weren't all that hot.

I'm 24 so I don't have much experience with aging, but I like myself more now than I did 5, 10 years ago. Everything seems to be coming together, and I'm happy with who I am. I hope this continues.

I'm not rich at all, aujah Smiling Quite the opposite most of the time!

There are always going to be struggles, I think. What I appreciate about being a little bit older is that I've got a better perspective and attitude towards those struggles. (Sometimes.)

More confident, yes? Sexier, yes. Not so happy with how difficult it is to keep my thighs in reasonably good shape, though. Eye-wink

Becoming old is a Blessing, this is why we need to live our lives to the fullest. You can't be 21 forever, enjoy it and move on. I am sooo pumped whenever my birthday comes around.

We need to celebrate life and realize how beautiful that gift is. As I get older I am realizing who I am, the responsibilities are getting harder but hey, its part of life.

I definately think I look better now at 28 than I did at 21 or 22. And I can't wait to be in my 30s. I really have enjoyed my 20s, but I'm ready to move on!!!!

With each passing birthday, I freak out a little more. Where's my life slipping away to?

However, I will admit that as I've grown older, I've become a much more confident, well-rounded and much calmer person.

i picked other because at 24 i don't think i'm old enough to really answer. of course i do feel better than when i was in my teens but i don't think that says much. but i do kind of fear getting older. it just goes by way too fast for my liking.

I'm not a person who thinks about age much - my own or anyone else's - but I look better than I ever did, feel better than I ever did, and have more confidence than I ever did. This getting older business isn't bad at all.

I turned 36 this year. Mentally, I still feel like the sexy girl I was at 21. Physically, I think my age is creeping up on me a little bit. I definitely feel more confident then I did when I was younger.

I'm (barely) 23 so I can't really answer, but so far, definitely. I actually can't wait to turn 30. My parents and grandparents have all aged well and I take very good care of myself (plus I'm not adverse to a subtle nip or tuck in later years!) so I'm not worried about the physical part.

As far as I can see all that leaves is looking forward to becoming the person I will be, and enjoying more experiences in life. And growing up a bit! Although everyone always says you never actually feel any older on the inside. Sounds great to me, bring it on! Smiling

To me, 50 is when you just START to get "older". 30 is a spring chicken, and 40 is barely starting to mature. Us 20-somethings are just those silly little things that run around frantically trying to work out this mystery called life. Sticking out tongue

I actually think I might! I just turned 31 last week and I'm so okay with it. I'm happier than I've ever been in my life. And that's the most important thing to me.

Plus I know that I still look like I'm 20, people almost fall over when I tell them how old I really am. That definitely makes getting older much more bearable.
